Printing Requests for Shelf-Checking

Requests can be printed out either in either a full page format (each record covering an A4 sheet) or in a brief 3-line format.

Full page print format

Requests in full page format are designed to fit on one sheet of A4 paper and include:

request numbers

bibliographic information

rota information with the current rota location in bold (when printed out by the borrower)

delivery addresses

Tip: This format can be used to self-check and identify the appropriate copy. See also how to use reports to output a pick list for shelf checking.

Note on rota locations: If there are 7 or less rota locations, then all are displayed in the full page print format. If there are more than 7, then the current rota location is displayed in bold, preceded by the previous 3 locations and followed by the next 3 locations. This will ensure that the request will fit onto one sheet of A4.
